As a photographer, I draw my inspiration from my very first days of motherhood when I realized just how fragile our memories can be. I yearned to hold onto each day and live more intentionally because these moments mattered and deserved to be remembered. Taking photos became a way to slow down, breathe deep with each shutter click, and soak in all the beautiful and crazy moments I know I'll miss one day. It gave me the ability to soften the harshness of time. It helped put a lens on everyday life and focus on the things that will long outlast us: love, connection, and joy with loved ones.
My goal is to help you savor the fruit of your season through photography. I want to help you find some stillness amidst the non-stop motion of life and to cherish the ones you hold dear. Nothing lights me up more than a delicious meal, life-giving community, and a glass of wine or bubbly! Joel and I are passionate about opening our home to host family, friends, and guests. There’s a saying that captures our heart for each of our clients: “Come as a stranger, leave as a friend." We want the experience you have with us to feel like you’ve been invited to our table and cared for like family.

One of my heroes Mr. Rogers once said, “As human beings, our job in life is to help people realize how rare and valuable each one of us really is… Knowing that we can be loved exactly as we are gives us all the best opportunity for growing into the healthiest of people.” I believe every child deserves to be loved this way. We donate a portion of our annual profits to World Vision’s Child Protection Fund to help at-risk children have a chance at a healthy and happy childhood.

There are many aspects of running a small business that I love – capturing milestones, curating heirlooms, telling visual stories, etc. But the heartbeat behind DYC is to glorify God by loving and serving with excellence the amazing people He’s blessed us to meet! It’s beyond capturing just the pretty. It’s about getting to know our clients and drawing out genuine joy and warmth so the generations that come after will be inspired by their legacy of love.
